John Allemeier

John Allemeier, composer

John Allemeier is a composer of concert music and music for modern dance.  His music has been described as having a “sweet sense of mystery” by Fanfare and as being “rapturous” by the American Record Guide.  Turning to American folksong as the inspiration for his work, Allemeier has developed a distinct compositional voice by combining contemporary compositional techniques with elements of folk music.
